Beau W. Kellogg

NORFOLK -- Funeral service for Beau W. Kellogg, 19, of Norfolk will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk with Pastor Brian Hoover officiating. Interment will be at the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Norfolk. Visitation will be held 4-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 3 also at Stonacek Funeral Chapel. Beau passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 as the result of a vehicle accident. Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk is in charge of the arrangements. Born March 17, 1998, in Norfolk, Beau was the son of Jeff and Cassandra (Davis) Kellogg. When Beau was eight to 10 years old, he competed in Norfolk Youth Bowling at Kings Lanes. He won many awards and trophies, including state champion in doubles with his brother, Taylor. Beau also was active at the YMCA and participated in the youth baseball and basketball programs for several years. His love of Hot Wheels when he was younger contributed to his later love of cars, trucks, tractors, motorcycles and anything else with wheels. He graduated from Norfolk Senior High School in 2016. Beau was an eternal optimist about everything. He always believed that everything would turn out just fine. He was never afraid to try anything new. Beau enjoyed working on trucks and tractors and also four-wheeling and motorcycling. Beau never had an enemy in the world. He had an infectious smile, many friends and a big heart. Beau never left home without saying “I love you.” Survivors are his mother, Casey Kellogg, and stepfather Johnny Messerly of Norfolk; a son, Charlie Kesting of Pierce; a brother, Taylor Pentland of Norfolk; a sister, Jennifer Pentland of Moorhead, Minn.; a girlfriend, Shelby Koch of Winside; his grandmothers, Virginia Bushnell of Oceanside, Calif., and Joan Lopes of Madison; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Jeff Kellogg; his grandfathers, Larry Kellogg and Phil Davis; his stepgrandmother, Marian Davis; and his stepgrandfather, Bill Bushnell. Casketbearers will be Colin Johnson, Lane Stange, James Forney, Jesse Moore, Dalton Moore, Jacob Aschoff, Bobby Breese and Taylor Pentland.
