Diane C. Erickson

NORFOLK – Memorial service for Diane C. Erickson, 56, of Randolph, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk. Rev. Randy Rasmussen will be officiating the service. Inurnment will be held at the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk. Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, at the Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Randolph. Diane passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Stonacek Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Diane was born on May 22, 1967, in Norfolk, NE to Joseph and Donna (Palecek) O’Brien. She attended grade school in Norfolk and graduated from Norfolk Senior High School. Diane received her hair stylist license at St. Joseph’s College and then went onto Wayne State College and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. Diane moved to Randolph and she worked at Monson & Hollway Law Firm at the time of her death. Diane loved spending time with her family, which included swinging on the front porch and picking out toys for her grandkids. She also enjoyed spending time with her significant other, Stephen “Spide” Shaffer, going camping and hanging out at the lake. She loved decorating for the holidays, reading, and keeping up with the news. Diane is survived by her significant other of 28 years Stephen "Spide" Shaffer, her children, daughter, Elizabeth (Jesse) Olson of Bennington, NE; her son, Curt Erickson of Norfolk, NE; her son, Jason (Amanda) Erickson of Osmond, NE and their children, Aubree, Gunnar, Myles and Oliver; and Dana Erickson of Waterloo, IA and her children Olivia and Beckett her mother Donna O’Brien of Norfolk, her siblings: Shane (Andrea) O'Brien, Norfolk, Jolene (Don) Groninger of Norfolk, Joe (Malissa) O'Brien of Rosemount, MN, Lori O’Brien of Omaha, Jaci (Steve) Rydberg of Portsmouth, IA, Jennifer (Tim) Grashorn of Norfolk, and Sarah O’Brien of Norfolk, along with many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
