Gayle Lynne Sporleder

RANDOLPH – Funeral services for Gayle L. Sporleder, 75, of Randolph, NE will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 10:30AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Randolph. Officiating the services will be Dwight Brummels. Following the funeral luncheon, burial will be held at Prospect View Cemetery in Pierce. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 2-5:00 PM at Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Randolph. Gayle passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at the Colonial Manor in Randolph. Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Randolph is in charge of the arrangements. Gayle was born on February 26, 1950 to Orville and Bernice (Meyer) Luebe in Norfolk, NE. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion East Lutheran Church in rural Hoskins. She attended country school district 60 in Pierce, NE. She then attended Pierce High School and graduated with the class of 1968. On Dec. 4, 1971, she married William Sporleder at Zion East Lutheran Church, in rural Hoskins. To this union two children were born, Mike and Jill. They began their married life on the farm north of Hoskins, moving to farm south of Randolph in 1973. In 1986, they moved into Randolph. Gayle started working at Great Dane in 1988 and retired in 2014. Gayle was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Randolph where she taught Sunday school and served on many committees. Gayle loved tending to her flowers and plants, playing cards, quilting, crafting and spending time with family. One of Gayle’s favorite roles was Grandma. Gayle was proud of all her grandchildren and enjoyed attending their activities. Survivors include two children, Mike Sporleder of Randolph, Jill and Joe Mikkelsen of Hurley, S.D.; three grandchildren, Grant Mikkelsen, Brianna and Landon Sporleder; siblings Kent Luebe of Pierce, Kirk Luebe of Pierce, Debra and Kip Thompson of Randolph, Jim Herian of Pierce, Julie and Kevin Krueger of Ravenna, Jane and Jim Peters of Pierce, and several nieces, nephews and many friends. Gayle was preceded in death by her parents Orville and Bernice, husband William, sister Diane Herian, sister-in-law Kathy Luebe, and father and mother-in-law Loyd and Marvene Sporleder.
