Grant D. Daniel

NORFOLK – Memorial service for Grant D. Daniel, 39 of Norfolk, will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk. Officiating the service will Reverend Linda Moore. Burial will take place at a later date. Visitation will take place from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM prior to service time on Tuesday. Grant died on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 rural Norfolk, NE. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the family to be established for Grant’s kids’ college funds. Stonacek Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Grant was born on November 19, 1985 in Norfolk, NE to Kevin and Jacqueline (Johnson) Daniel. He graduated from Stanton High School in 2004 and attended a horse shoeing school in Oklahoma. He was a proud member of NCHA. He was passionate about cutting and riding/training horses in general. He loved breaking/taming colts. He also loved shoeing horses for others. He also loved going down the road to take the kids to barrel races and all of the events they enjoyed. He was a member of CHAN, KCHA, ICHA, CHA of MN, AQHA, Oklahoma College of Shoeing, he also served on the board of directors of CHAN as well as several sorting associations. He was a member of New England Congregational Church. He was a devoted father who loved his three kids religiously. He made sure they were always involved with horses like he was. He pushed them to be the best that they could be. He’d always turn back for the girls, practice at shows, even if it takes time away from getting his stuff done. He grew up to be a hardworking man and a good father to his kids. He will be missed dearly by loved ones. Grant is survived by his children McKenzie Daniel, Abbie Daniel, Isaac Daniel all of Norfolk, parents Kevin and Jacqueline Daniel of Norfolk, and brother Ross (Kayla) Daniel of Stanton and their kids Amber and Preston Knerr, Austin and Bentley Tunink, Grandma Barb Johnson, Aurora, uncles Robert Johnson, Gene (Sarah) Daniel of Stanton, Tim Daniel of David City, Aunts Robin (Joe) Hansen of Beemer, Davanna (Tony) Bernbeck, Raeann (Shane) Patterson of Stanton, and numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Barb and LeRoy Daniel, Robert Johson, Uncle Rick Daniel, cousin Niall Hansen, Kipton Daniel, Hoya Patterson.
