Joseph D. "P Joe" Kingsley

NORFOLK – Celebration of life for Joseph D. “P Joe” Kingsley, 59, of Norfolk will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 25, 2024 at The Knights of Columbus in Norfolk. Food and beverages will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that instead bring your favorite Joe story or memory to share. Joe passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 at the Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk. Stonacek Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Joseph was born on July 29, 1964 in Norfolk to Ray and Carol (Marshall) Kingsley. He grew up and attended school in Stanton, graduating from Stanton High School in 1982. P Joe raised his 3 children in Stanton, and was their constant stability, strength, and support. He was not only a father to them, but also opened his home to any and all of their friends forming and maintaining close relationships with all of them. He worked at the Norfolk Regional Center for the majority of his life, where he formed lifelong friendships with many of his coworkers. P Joe enjoyed traveling, especially to the mountains in Colorado and the ocean in California. His hobbies included landscaping, gardening, golfing, disc golfing, and anything outdoors in general. P Joe was an avid concert goer, and music connoisseur. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and always had the best stories. P Joe was the most genuine, caring, compassionate, easy to get along with and love person you could meet. He was a beautiful soul, one of a kind, and he will be greatly and forever missed by all who knew him. Survivors include daughter Jess (Matt) Kline of Overland Park, KS, sons: John (Megan) Kingsley of Norfolk, Matt (Brooke) Kingsley of Hoskins, mother Carol Kingsley of Stanton, granddaughters Haley, Maddyn, Kennah, Sabra, Kirsten, great-grandson Zeppelin, brother Ray (Jody) Kingsley of Hoskins, sister Deb (Kent) Clausen of Norfolk, significant other Carol Ruge of Norfolk, uncle Darrel Marshall of Norfolk, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends. P Joe was preceded in death by father Raymond Kingsley, infant sister, Kathy Kingsley, niece Tonya Kinglsey, aunt Faye Marshall, and paternal and maternal grandparents.
