Keith L. Timperley

NORFOLK -- Funeral service for Keith L. Timperley, 76, of Omaha, will be held 1:30 p.m., Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Stonacek Funeral Chapel, Norfolk. Reverend Gregory Prauner will be officiating the service. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at Stonacek Funeral Chapel. Military rites will be provided by American Legion Post #16 and V.F.W. Post 1644 Norfolk, United States Navy honors guard. Keith passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha. He was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia on Sept. 15, 2023. Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk is in charge of the arrangements. Keith and his twin brother, Kenneth were born on Sept. 15, 1947 in San Diego, CA to Kenneth L. Sr. and Lucile Elsie (Wiedeman) Timperley. He attended grade school in Norfolk and Omaha and graduated from Omaha Westside High School in 1965. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1965-1968. Keith will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Left to cherish his memory are his brother; Kenneth Jr. (Annette) of Fremont; and sisters Beverly (Gary) Buhrman of Wisner and Lynette (Jeff) Kempcke of Blair; sister-in-law Virginia Timperley of Anchorage, Alaska. Special friends and caring neighbors, Karla Avila Juarez, Elvia Juarez Ramirez, and he also leaves behind multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth “Bud” and Lucile, brother Roger Timperley Sr. Keith had a heart of gold and was the most honest person you would ever meet. He was a quiet and gentle soul. Most people disliked little rabbits in their yard, not Keith, he would put out fresh water for the rabbits that congregated in his yard. On the contrary side he liked to do it his way and hated cheese While Keith was in the Navy he was stationed in Hawaii, and later as an over-the-road truck driver he traveled to almost every state. His many past-times included having a private pilot license, scuba diving, bicycling, snow and water skiing, playing darts and billiards and he even tried skate-boarding (once!). He was a very lucky keno player. Casket bearers will be John Timperley, Roger Timperley Jr., Scott Buhrman, Kevin Buhrman, Brad Buhrman, and Seth Pfaltzgraff.
