Ramona Puls

HOSKINS – Funeral service for Ramona J. Puls, 91, of Hoskins will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 10:30AM at Peace Church in rural Hoskins. Officiating the services will be Pastor Clark Jenkinson. Inurnment will be held at 3:00PM Monday at the Spring Branch Cemetery with family and close friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 6 from 4-6PM at the Peace Church in rural Hoskins. Ramona passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Rehabilitation and Care Center in Norfolk. Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk is in charge of the arrangements. Ramona was born on September 30, 1933 in Correctionville, IA to Paul and Dorothy (Ashmore) Seavey. She attended and graduated from Central High School in Sioux City, IA in 1951. Ramona married Dennis Puls on April 12, 1953 at Grace Evangelical & Reformed Church in Sioux City, Iowa. After getting married, the couple farmed, raised livestock, and milked cows in the Hoskins area. Ramona worked in the office at Norco Feeds in Norfolk, for 27 years. Later she was a bank teller at Commercia Federal Bank. Ramona was a 4-H Leader for 25 years, in Wayne County. She was a member of the Ladies Aid at Peace Church. Ramona loved to sing and was part of the “Just for Fun” singing group which sang at area nursing homes. Ramona and Dennis enjoyed belonging to a card club and square dancing with the 49'ers Square Dance Club. In 1986 she won Hoskins Outstanding Citizen award. She and Dennis were members of Peace Church in rural Hoskins for many years. Ramona is survived by her children Denise (Gary) Morton of Perth Amboy, N.J., Renee (Craig) Schnieder of Davey, NE, Dianne (Reg) Gnirk of Hoskins, Russel (Traci) Puls of Hoskins, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and special lifelong friend, Ginny Kleensang. Ramona was preceded in death by her husband Dennis, her parents Paul and Dorothy, and 2 brothers Clifford and Richard, and 1 nephew Paul Seavey. Casket bearers will be Jason Schnieder, Jeff Schnieder, Dylan Puls, Evan Puls, Jared Puls, and Dustin Puls. Condolences can be expressed to the family online at www.stonacekfuneralchapel.com.
