Randolyn (Cox) Frederick

Randolyn (Cox) Frederick, age 63, of Norfolk, NE. Formerly of Randolph, Died at Hospice House on Friday, August 31, 2012 due to complications from a stroke she had in May. Born April 3, 1949 in Plainview, NE to Rex and Vivian (Wachholtz) Cox, she graduated from Osmond High School and attended C.E. School of Commerce in Omaha, Ne. On July 21, 1973, Randy was united in marriage to Marvin LeRoy Frederick in Foster, NE. She lived in Osmond and worked as a medical assistant for Dr. David Johnson Jr and moved to Randolph after marrying Marvin and lived and worked on the family farm for 33 years. She also worked at Village Green Apts in Norfolk as a property manager upon retiring from farming and moving to Norfolk, NE. Randy was a member of the Randolph United Methodist Church and volunteered with the American Cancer Society driving patients to their appointments. Randy will be especially remembered for her radiant smile, crocheting talent, great cooking, and her everlasting love and dedication to her family and friends. Survivors include: her husband Marvin, Norfolk, NE; daughter Amy Frederick, Omaha, NE; stepsons Mark Frederick, Norfolk, NE and Eric Frederick, Randolph, NE; grandchildren Derick and Levi Frederick, Randolph, NE and Marissa Olerich, Fremont, NE; sisters and brother-in-laws, Janet and Ernie McLaughlin, Foster, NE; Lori Backer, Norfolk, NE; Diana and Jeff Windeshausen, Norfolk, NE; Clifford and Martha Frederick, Randolph, NE; Clifford Dredge, Randolph, NE, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Randy was preceded in death by her mother and father, grandparents, niece Dana McLaughlin, sister in law Marlene Dredge, mother/father in law Mayo and Bernice Frederick, numerous aunts, uncles, and friends. Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at St. Jane Frances deChantal Catholic Church, Randolph, NE; Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Stonacek Funeral Chapel, Norfolk, NE; Interment will be at Randolph City Cemetery, Randolph, NE; Officiating will be the Rev.
