Sheryl K. Kruger

PIERCE – Funeral service for Sheryl K. Kruger, 73 of Pierce, will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Norfolk. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service on Wednesday. Sheryl passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Faith Regional in Norfolk after a short yet courageous battle with cancer and dementia. Stonacek Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Sheryl was born on April 13, 1952 in Tilden, NE, to Malven Raff and Leona (McDaniel) Raff. She was the youngest of three with two older brothers, Ronald Raff and Lyle Raff. Sheryl was a 1970 graduate of Pierce High School. She worked for Cones State Bank right out of high school which later became Midwest Bank until she retired in 2018. Sheryl found joy taking long walks with her dog Harlee, spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters and twin boy great-grandsons, spending time in the spring/summer months tending to her beautiful flower gardens, going on summer vacations seeing many states, and traveling many miles to go to Nebraska football games with her husband, Kennard. Sheryl was married to Kennard Kruger for 50 years. They were married at Zion Lutheran Church in Pierce on October 12, 1974. Sheryl is survived by her husband of 50 years Kennard Kruger of Pierce, NE; two daughters Jill (Bradley) Drake of Friend, NE, and Jaimie (Steven) Jacobs of Pacific Junction, IA: two granddaughters, Alison (Codey) Spellman of Aurora, NE, and Annika West of Norfolk, NE; two twin great grandsons Weston and Waylon Spellman of Aurora, NE; two brothers Ronald (Mary Glodt) Raff of Sioux Falls, SD and Lyle (Patricia) Raff of Lincoln, NE; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Malven and Leona Raff; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Ralph and Donna Kruger, and brother-in-law Stan Kruger. Casket bearers will be Chris Raff, Patrick Kruger, Codey Spellman, Bradley Drake, and Steven Jacobs. Honorary casket bearers will be Alison Spellman, Annika West, nieces, and nephews.
