Donald "Don" Eugene Vietor

NORFOLK –Private family memorial services for Donald “Don” E. Vietor, 76, of Norfolk will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026. Rev. Gordon Braun will officiate the service. Don passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at Heritage of Bel Air Nursing Home in Norfolk. Stonacek Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Don was born May 16, 1949, in Plainview, Nebraska, to Carlyle and Laura (Miller) Vietor. The family later moved to Norfolk, where Don graduated from Norfolk high school in 1967. After high school, Don began working at Busy B’s, where he started his lifelong career as an auto body refinishing technician and learn the art of painting cars. In 1968, he went to work at Heckman’s top and body shop until 1976, when he began working at Bill’s body shop, where he remained until his retirement. Don had a true passion for the automotive world, especially all things Mopar. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR races and love attending swap meets, car shows, and cruise nights, where he could talk cars and spend time with the many friends and colleagues, he made through throughout the years. Even after retirement, Don stayed involved in the auto industry when he started Trinity auto sales in Norfolk. Don was blessed with four children: Chrissy, Jason, Stacy, and Lance. Besides being an extremely hard worker, Don also enjoyed listening to music and attending concerts. He especially enjoyed music in the park and was a proud member of the Norfolk area concert association. Don was also a very faithful man, and those who knew him recognize the strength of his beliefs. He never hesitated to share his faith and could talk with anyone about what he believed. Don is survived by his significant other, Joyce Dennell of Norfolk; his children, Chrissy (Larry) Landen of Norfolk; Jason (Melissa) Vietor of Norfolk; Stacy (Jason) Jones of Norfolk, Lance (Silvio) Vietor; grandchildren, Justin Jones of Norfolk, Brandon Jones of Lincoln, Vanessa (Garrett) Adams of Norfolk expecting a daughter in July, Austin (Nicki) Vietor of Elgin and their children Nadia and Bonnie, Peyton Vietor of Norfolk; and two sisters, Linda Breitkreutz of Wisner and Pam Vietor of Norfolk. He was preceded in death by his parents Carlyle and Laura Vietor, and brother-in-law Doug Beitkreutz Don will be remembered for his deep love of family and his strong faith, along with his passion for cars, his love of music, and the many friendships he formed over the years.
