Roylin L. "Ron" Boschult Jr.

NORFOLK -- Services for Roylin L. “Ron” Boschult, 67, of Norfolk will be Monday at 10:30 a.m., at Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk. The Rev. James Brewer will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Military rites will be provided by American Legion Post 16 and V.F.W. Post 1644 of Norfolk and the U.S. Navy Honors Guard. He died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk. Roylin L. “Ron” Boschult was born Aug. 23, 1946, in Plainview to Roylin and Ida (Evans) Boschult Sr. He was baptized at Stark Valley Methodist Church in rural Plainview and attended schools in Lynch and Inman before enlisting in the U.S. Navy when he was 17 years old. He served in the Navy from July 31, 1964, to August 22, 1967, including two tours in Vietnam. He married Marice Lafleur on March 31, 1969, in Yankton S.D. The couple lived in Norfolk where Ron worked for Norfolk Iron and Metal before working for Vulcraft for 25 years. He was the lead rigger there at the time of his retirement. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating, and was also helpful to his friends and family. He would be the first to show up when something needed to be fixed. He also loved to spend time with his family. He was a member of the VFW. Survivors include his wife, Marice Boschult of Norfolk; children Carmon and husband Christian Yurk of Fremont, Curt and wife Holly Boschult of Fort Atkinson, Wis., Cierra and husband Zach Kruse of Olathe, Kan., and Chelse and husband Quintin Mueller of Norfolk; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; brothers Elmer and wife Charlotte Becker of Odessa, Mo., and Doug and wife Deb Boschult of Meadow Grove; sisters Joyce Logan of Beemer, Noma and George Courtney of Lynch, Lilly Zobrist of Norfolk, Rebecca Ausdemore of Norfolk, Bernice and husband Lynn Gnewuch of Norfolk, and Millie and husband Rodger Lubke of Norfolk. He was preceded in death by his parents Roylin and Ida. Casket bearers will be Curt Boschult, Curtis Boschult, Jesse Boschult, Doug Boschult, Frank Flesner, Steve Flesner, Ronnie Flesner, and Eric Gnewuch. Honorary casket bearers will be Jenna, Neligh, Devan, Hunter, Makeela, Wyatt, Mason, Reece and Camden.
