NORFOLK – Funeral service for Sally J. Engleman, 87, of Norfolk formerly of Mitchell, NE, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 17, 2024 at the Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk. Pastor Jeff Schipper will be officiating the service. Private family inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service on Friday, May 17. Memorials may be sent to Christy Lee, 1900 S. 45th St., Norfolk, NE 68701. Sally passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at the Community Pride Care Center in Battle Creek. Stonacek Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Sally was born on May 23, 1936 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Harold and Othella (Heim) Morrison. She attended grade school at Haig (a country school) and then graduated from Scottsbluff High School. She then attended Colorado State University where she graduated in 1958 with a degree in teaching. Sally married Floyd Engleman on June 29, 1958 in Gering, NE. Sally worked alongside her husband farming and raising cattle near Mitchell, NE. She was up early feeding cattle or setting water in the heat of the day. Although, Sally’s family always came first, she never missed an event or a chance to help wherever she could. Before moving to Norfolk, Sally was a member of Calvary Memorial Church in Gering, NE. Survivors include son Lynn Engleman of McCook, granddaughter Savannah Rogers, great-grandchildren Phoenix and Willow, granddaughter Zoey Rogers, daughter Christy (Kirk) Lee of Norfolk, grandson Zane (Jen) Abner, great-grandchildren Haven, Kline, Mcoy, Roman, granddaughter Addie (Bryce) Rossman, great-grandchildren Slate, Beckett, Huxley, step-granddaughter Deven Lee, sister Carol (Rich) McSpadden of Lewistown, PA, and brother Stuart (Genene) Morrison of Scottsbluff, NE. Sally was preceded in death by her husband Floyd, parents Harold and Othella, in-laws Phillip and Katherine Engleman.
